Ester Sant'Anna

Secretary-General
Hi everyone! My name is Ester Sant’Anna, and I’m honored to serve as Secretary-General for SALMUN 2025. I’m currently a senior and have been participating in Model United Nations since seventh grade. Over the years, MUN has become so much more than just debate for me—it’s been a space to grow as a leader, communicator, and global citizen.
From my very first committee session to now, I’ve seen how MUN can empower students to express their voices, think critically, and collaborate to solve real-world issues. That’s exactly the kind of experience I hope every delegate has this year—a memorable, challenging, and inspiring one.
I’m incredibly excited to welcome all of you to SALMUN 2025. Let’s make this conference an unforgettable celebration of diplomacy, passion, and youth leadership!
Átila Neto
Under-Secretary-General for UN Committees
Hi everyone! My name is Átila Brandão de Oliveira Neto, and I'm honored to serve as the Under-Secretary-General for the UN committees in this year's Salmun. I am a sophomore at PASB and I am extremely excited to serve as a USG for the first time.
My journey in Model United Nations began when I was in middle school and participated in MunX, and Salmun. Although it seemed frightening at first to raise my placard or to write resolutions with other delegates that were older and more experienced than me, I came to enjoy Mun very much and especially the friendships I have made throughout conferences.
With nearly five years of experience in MUN, I've been to conferences from Salvador, to São Paulo, Brasilia, Porto Alegre, and even New Haven, Boston, and Mexico City. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
In conclusion, I am excited to take on the responsibility of being the USG for UN commitee’s, and I cannot wait to meet all of you and engage in great debates where all delegates have a memorable experience. Please, feel free to reach out to me at 28oliveiraa@pasb.com.br if you have any questions.

Maria Paula Bastos
Chief Operations Officer
Hi everyone!
My name is Maria Paula Perdiz Bastos, but I’m mostly known as Mapa. I’m a sophomore at the Pan American School of Bahia and am honored to serve as SALMUN XX’s Chief Operations Officer!
My MUN journey began during my first year of Secondary School, specifically in 6th Grade, when I attended my first conference: MUN Experience — a conference for PASB’s youth students, aiming to introduce aspiring delegates to the world of Model United Nations. I was highly apprehensive during my initial exposure, but the more experience I gained, the larger my passion for MUN grew. Even so, it has roused me to pursue a career in International Relations!
Apart from being an MUN enthusiast, I’m an attacking midfielder for PASB’s Girls’ Soccer Varsity Team, and am fond of all types of physical activities. I also love drama, having performed in a couple of school musicals myself. My favorite characters (I have portrayed) so far were the Genie in Aladdin Jr. and Olaf in Frozen Jr. Additionally, I enjoy playing the guitar, piano, and ukulele during my free time.
As COO, my job is to ensure that the conference’s functionality and logistical aspects work flawlessly. That being said, I aim to establish a welcoming environment while also presenting myself as a reliable guide for delegates.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me at coosalmun@pasb.com.br.

This conference is an incredible experience, allowing me to deepen my knowledge on global politics, public speaking and response to stress.
Of course, MUN requires effort and will to do well—something I strive for since the very first edition of MUNx. I hope you find this experience as rewarding as I do.
Let’s work together to make this year’s conference unforgettable, innovative and a true turning point for our schools culture. Good luck, and see you at your committees!

MUN holds a very special place in my heart, as it has allowed me to grow, learn, and connect with people who share the same passion for global awareness. Being the Press Corps Director gives me the incredible opportunity to honor this passion and to celebrate everyone who dedicates themselves to MUN just as much as I do. Berta Sant'Anna

Head of Journalism
My name is Berta Sant’Anna, I’m currently a sophomore in high school and am truly thrilled to serve as Head Journalist for SALMUN 2025. I’ve been part of the MUN experience for a couple years now, what began as curiosity quickly became one of the most meaningful moments I looked forward to in my academic life. An opportunity to combine my love for writing, debating, global affairs, and storytelling.
Through MUN, I’ve learned how powerful it can be to give a voice to others, highlight the moments that matter, and capture the energy that fills every committee room. This year, my goal is to ensure that every speech, resolution, and debate is not only recognized but remembered, not just for what was said, but for the passion and collaboration behind it.
I can’t wait to work alongside an amazing press team and witness the creativity and dedication that make SALMUN so special. Let’s make 2025 a year full of stories worth telling!! If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to reach out and send me an email at 28santannab@pasb.com.br
Leticia Magalhães
Head of Multimedia
Hello, everyone! My name is Leticia Magalhães, and I'm a freshman at the Pan American School of Bahia. It is my pleasure to serve as SALMUN XX's Head of Multimedia. I've been part of the MUN community since 6th grade, and while I adored debating, what struck me as I progressed was seeing others capturing the energy and spirit of each conference, and realizing that this was exactly where I belonged. I felt drawn to preserving the atmosphere, passion, and character that make every committee unique. Seeing others do it and feeling that it was exactly for me is what inspired me to apply for Multimedia this year.
My love for photography began at home, with camera in hand, and developed into a love of visual storytelling. This led me to explore further into marketing, completing a Springpod course and a summer camp at Yale that focused on business and marketing, where I learned about how creativity and communication can build rich experiences and learned further about photography .
Apart from MUN, I am also currently Vice-President of NJHS, where I have been able to develop my leadership skills, but I always found myself interested in the artistic side of Public Relations, connecting people together by images and shared experience. I am also thrilled to chair MUN Experience, where I hope to inspire middle schoolers to explore their passions and discover their own paths in MUN like I did.
As Multimedia Head, my goal is to best serve SALMUN, to showcase its spirit and influence in each picture, video, and narrative so that the essence of the conference remains and is shared long after it concludes.

Yumi Arakawa

Head of Social Media
Hi everyone! I’m Yumi Arakawa, a sophomore at the Pan American School of Bahia, and I'm excited to be part of the Press Corps leadership team alongside Leticia Barbosa, Berta Sant’anna, and Leticia Magalhães. My first experience with Model United Nations was in 2021 when I was just 12, and I felt nervous in a room full of older kids. I persevered, earning two Best Speaker awards, but later shifted my focus to the media side of MUN. In 2024, I received a Best of Press Corps award as a Marketing Delegate, and in 2025, I participated as a Multimedia Delegate in BRAMUN 2025. Now, as Head of Social Media for SALMUN XX, I feel fulfilled.
Outside of MUN, I have many hobbies. I love the arts, especially visual arts and music; I’ve been a classical pianist for over a decade and enjoy painting and drawing. I also love reading suspense and mystery books, as well as watching related TV shows and movies. I thrive in academic olympiads focusing on science, math, and programming, and I plan to pursue engineering in college. I have two adopted cats and lead Paws for a Purpose, a student organization focused on animal welfare.
As Head of Social Media, my goal is to collaborate with the Press Corps to make SALMUN unforgettable and share its message globally. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to me at 28menezesy@pasb.com.br or in person!
